Chism, Sarah E., Died Sept 28, 1894, wife of M. L., Aged 22 Yrs. Note from Sadie Evelyn H. Shimek, granddaughter of Jackson William Henderson: Sarah "Everena" Henderson Chism was the first wife of M.L. "Leggy" Chism and died in childbirth along with the child. She was the daughter of Jesse Henderson and Lou Quincy Edwards. Everena was the daughter of Lou Henderson who lost the rest of her family except grandson, Jackson W. Henderson then aged 2 (& his Mother, Mollie) of what was apparently a flu epidemic in 1899. They are all buried at Tabernacle. Happily, Lou Quincy raised her grandson, Jackson William Henderson, son of Wm. Stanford (called Stanford) who married Mollie Geeslin who then died when Jack was four. My parents, AP and Mary Moore Henderson placed a marker for Mollie in the cemetery, but she is buried somewhere in Georgia.
