Moore Cemetery

The Moore Cemetery is located about 2 miles west of Ashville in St. Clair Co., Alabama on State Highway 23. Township 14 South, Range 3 East in Sections 22 & 23. This cemetery is in the middle of a pasture. Cows have gotten into the cemetery and knocked over headstones and broken them. Several of the stones were broken in half making them hard to read. There are about 50 graves without any markers other than a rock at the head and foot of the grave.     Greg Hester is the gr. gr. grandson of Edward Millington Montgomery and Nancy (Allman) Montgomery.  Surveyed by Greg and Chare Hester April 13, 1998.
