Sumter County
Post Offices

Contributed by: Mary Hoit Abbe

At the Federal Archives, there is a roll of microfilm called Post Office Records, Site Locations 1837-1950.  Wallace State College also has a copy.
At the end is a great map of Sumter County, ½ inch = 1mile.  There is no date, but it is by W. W. Patton.  It gives the “voting districts” or beats which I have listed here after the post offices.  Also there is a map of Panola showing “72 blocks.”
