CHAS. STEPHENSON DIED TUESDAY MORNING

Charles T. Stephenson, 74, died at his home on the Bethel road Tuesday morning at 12:25 A. M. after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 P. M. at Bethel church with Rev. Bunyan Smith, assisted by Rev. Frank T. Smith and Rev. B. F. Collier officiating. Interment followed with Peck directing.

The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Foster Sanders, Hartselle 1; Mrs. Prince Jones, Decatur; one son, A. H. Stephenson, Hartselle 1; a sister, Mrs. J. L. Bean, Hartselle 1; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Deacons of the Bethel church of which Mr. Stephenson was a member, served as pallbearers. They were O. H. Reeves, Wade Hall, Hewlett Roan, Homer Montgomery, H. B. Newman and Leonard Slate. Mr. Stephenson was a lifelong resident of the Hartselle community and had been prominent in church and farm activities here for some time.
