The following men deposed and stated that they were citizens of the State of Alabama at the time they rendered the military service hereinafter referred to; that they were residents at the time of the passage of "An Act for the relief of Maimed Soldiers," approved 1 Mar 1881; and that they were currently residing in Alabama.

Honorable J.M. Carmichael ~ Dear Sir / Enclosed  I hand you the warrants in favor of G.W. Jones, John T. Yerby, Wm. L. Miles, J.A. Lane and B.M. Stillman which you will please present to the Treasurer and draw money and return to me by Registered letter or by bank exchange and oblige yours etc.
