Etowah County ALGenWeb The Gadsden Times-News Gadsden, Alabama Monday, August 16, 1920 Page 1 Bob Evans, Colored, Died Early Todat Bob Evans, one of the best known colored men of Gadsden, died at his home this morning at 2 o'clock with bowel trouble. He had been sick the past week but his death was not expected by his friends. Bob has been janitor for the Kyle office for the past 30 years and was a faithful servant to his employers. He had many friends among the white people. The funeral arrangements were not complete this morning but he will be buried in the colored cemetery here on South Sixth street.
