Etowah County ALGenWeb The Boaz Leader Boaz, Alabama Thursday, February 11, 1926 Page 1 Mrs. Allen Dead End Came Suddenly On Wednesday morning, Feb. 3rd, Mrs. Samantha Allen died suddenly at her home in West Boaz. She had not been well for some time, but was not confined to the house. On the afternoon before she died, she had walked to town and back. She appeared to be as well as common un til a few minutes before she died, when she complained of feeling strange to her niece Mrs. Luna Morton with whom she lived. She living only about twenty minutes after this. A few minutes before she died her son, John came in and only he and her niece were with her. Dr. Morton was called but she passed away before he arrived. Mrs. Allen joined the Southern Methodist church when a young girl, and has lived a devoted Christian life. She left two sons, John W. Allen of Boaz, George G. Allen of Birmingham, and one niece Mrs. Luna Morton, to mourn her loss. She had lived with Mrs. Morton for the past six years. Besides those near relatives, there are grand children, other relatives and a host of friends, by whom she will be sadly missed.
