WALTER MONTGOMERY UPTON

Walter Montgomery Upton, 77, passed away Monday, December 18. His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Savannah Upton; one son Guthell Upton, Dawson; one daughter, Mrs. Duffel Smith, Dawson; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ann Ridgeway, Fyffe; Mrs. Charlcie Henry, Rome, Ga.; three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Church, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. with the Revs. J. M. Harline, Tommie Moses, W. M. Saxon, Luther Chandler and Walton Wesson officiating.

Pallbearers were Roscoe Ridgeway, Sam Johnson, Elmer Ridgeway, Lawrence Ridgeway, Hulon Painter and Luther Chandler.

Flower bearers, Mildred Painter, Lucile Ridgeway, Essie Powell, Lola Chandler and Eunice Ridgeway. Interment in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
