Rector, who was killed Dec. 18, 1944, are scheduled to arrive in Fort Payne Thursday at 5:46 p.m. A military funeral service withe the V. F. W. of Fort Payne will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Church. Roy enlisted in March, 1944, and went overseas in September. He was wounded in battle and sent to a hospital where he died in December. He had professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Tenbroeck Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunice Bobo Rector; five children, Evelyn, Kay, Oma, Noma and a son Ray Olen; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Recotr; four sisters, Mrs, Flossie Goodwin, Collbran; Misses Margie, Betty and Frances Rector, of Fort Payne; three brother, Hoyt, Collbran, Oscar, Fort Payne, and Sgt. Floyd Rector, U. S. Army, and other relatives. McBryar Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
