Jerry Powell, two and a half year old son of Mr. and Mrs. DeForst Powell, of Trenton, Ga., passed away in the Children's Hospital, Chattanooga, early Monday morning. He had a severe case of whooping cough which developed into pneumonia.

Surviving are the parents; two brothers, Larry and a twin, Terry Powell; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Buckels and Bessie and Bertha Lee Powell; grandparents, Mrs. Ada Powell, Burham, Ga., and Elmer Barton, Higdon, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Trenton Baptist Church with Rev. Mr. Leatherwood officiating. Burial in the Baptist Cemetery with McBryar Funeral Home in charge.
