DeKalb County ALGENWEB The Fort Payne Journal Fort Payne, Alabama Wednesday, February 11, 1958 Page 3 MR. KANEY KEAN Kaney Kean, 68, of 1013 Ala. Ave. N. W. Fort Payne, passed away in DeKalb Gen. Hospital Wednesday morning at 7:45 o'clock following an eight weeks illness. He had retired from the Hosiery Mill several years ago due to ill health. He was a life long resident of Fort Payne. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Medicia Wells Kean, Fort Payne; a son Ed Kean, mother, Mrs. Addie Kean, all of Fort Payne; five brothers, Bill, Britt, Wiley, Hardy, and Albert Kean all of Fort Payne, two sisters; Mrs. Nell McIntyre, Marietta, Ga.; Mrs. Lillie Stafford, Fort Payne. Funeral services were held Friday at the Church of Christ in Fort Payne with the pastor Minister W. Douglas Harris and the Rev. Willis Griffin officiating. Pallbearers were; Leonard Kean, Bobby Kean, Howard Kean, Donald Ray Kean, David Kean, Sidney Kean. Interment was in Walnut Grove Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
