HOLDEN John Cleveland Holden, 76, of Delhi, La., passed away suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday at his home. A native of DeKalb County, he moved to Louisiana in 1918. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a retired real estate man. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. G. A. Brannon, Hartselle; and Mrs. J. J. Cooper, Rising Fawn; a number of nieces and nephews in Oklahoma and here in DeKalb County. Funeral services were held at Mt. Moriah Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Andrew Haas and Rev. Horace McCollum officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Orville Hodges, Clinton Cooper, E. W. Miller, Hobert Miller, H. R. Holden and A. A. Dawson. Honorary pallbearers were E. E. McCurdy, J. O. McCracken, Arthur McCurdy and J. , Cooper. Pierce and Stone Funeral Home in charge.
