MRS. SUSIE GILBERT

Mrs. Susie Gilbert, 45, of Dawson, passed away Monday night following a very short illness. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She was a good neighbor and had gained many friends.

She is survived by her husband, C. L. Gilbert; seven sons, Boyd, Loud, Pencey, Elbert, Wintford, Dentford and James Gilbert; four daughters, Mrs. Aldie Hale, Mrs. Geneva (name omitted), Mrs. Looner Berry and Mrs. Juett Tidwell; two brothers, Sylvester and Chester Kirtland; four sisters, Mrs. Rhoir Wilkie, Mrs. Sarah Davidson, Mrs. Paralee Green and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Mr. Blackwell and Rev. Mr. Isbell officiating.

Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with McBryar Funeral Home in charge.
