Benjamin L. Elrod died at his home in Gadsden Wednesday, the 23rd and was buried in the Salem church cemetery at Geraldine, this county, on Friday morning, the 25th, Rev. Price conducting the funeral services. Mr. Elrod was a brother of our townsman, W. H. Elrod, and was for years a citizen of our county. He was 47 years old and had been a member of the Methodist church ever since he was 15 years of age. He leaves a wife and many relatives and friends to mourn his death. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.-Collinsville Clipper.
