G. H. CUNNINGHAM

George Houston Cunningham, 67, passed away at his home on Rt. 1, Chavies, Thursday about 9:30 a.m., following a lingering illness. He was born and had spent his entire life in the community in which he passed away. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Gann Cunningham; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Coleman, Chavies; three brothers, W. G. and B. F. Cunningham, Chavies and N. S. Cunningham, Trenton; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Patton, Trenton; Mrs. Dollie Kennedy, Rt. 1, Fort Payne; Mrs. Becky Tompkins, of Michigan, and Mrs. Ida Whitmire, Rt. 1 Chavies.

Funeral services were held at Town Creek Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Townsell officiating. Pallbearers were Paul George, Will Little, Hubert Newman, Lon Traylor, Marion Lovern and Clint George.

Burial in the adjoining cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
