MRS. LAURA CARROLL

Mrs. Laura Jane Carroll, 74, of Dawson, passed away Wednesday morning after a short illness. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood, and was the wife of the late Rev. Mr. Carroll, of Dawson.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ada Westbrook, Fyffe; Mrs. Daniel Culpepper, Dawson, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Ruth Justice, Albertville; Mrs. Mertice Worthy, Summerville, and Mrs. Cynthit Shelley, Dawson; five sons, Grady, West Point, Ga.; Simon and Thomas, Albertville; James, Geraldine and Ira, of Florida; 49 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Pardue and Mrs. Mollie Portwood, both of Georgia.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at the Beulah church near Albertville, with the Rev. Mr. Ashley and Rev. Mr. Minor officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery with McBryar Funeral Home in charge.
