Brock, appeared in Sunday's Gadsden Times. Henry Blackwell Brock, 67, retired business man and one of the best known citizens of the city, died suddenly of a heart attack at a downtown grocery stone on Broad street at 6 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Mr. Brock removed here from Fort Payne about eight years ago, having been one of the most prominent merchants and business men of DeKalb County for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church here and was well known all over this section of the state. Funeral rites were conducted at the Brown-Service chapel Monday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. L. O. Leavell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Forrest Cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lillie Bruce Brock, and a son, Harry B. Brock, of Gadsden; three daughters, Miss Pauline Brock, of Gadsden; Mrs. J. R. Bennett, of Ruthven, Ala.; Mrs. S. A. McCraken of Hornell, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Saterwhite, Orlando, Fla. The body was held at the residence, 614 Haralson Avenue, until time for the services. Active pallbearers included R. M. Wilbanks, J. E. Williams, Henry Snellgrove, King Riddle, Hubert Lee, Harold Shamblin, Tom Cook and L. M. Whitten.
