DeKalb County ALGENWEB The Fort Payne Journal Fort Payne, Alabama Wednesday, May 18, 1927 Page 1 DEATH OF GOOD WOMAN Mrs. Gene Brock, of Collinsville, R. 1., died Monday night of last week after several months of intense suffering from cancer. For sometime she had been confined to the local hospital but was removed to her home when it was seen that her condition was beyond human skill. The deceased was about 40 years of age, a devoted wife and mother. Her life was a beautiful one. She was kind and considerate and had countless friends who are deeply grieved at her death. She was a member of the Baptist church at Pleasaant Valley and was truly a good woman. She leaves a husband and six sons and daughters, Dewey and Hoyt Brock of Birmingham, Allie Brock of Florida, Ivey, Lois, R. B. and Valdor Brock of Collinsville, Route 1. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Wm. Tullis, of Alabama City, and interment was made in Pleasant Valley cemetery. Floral designs were heaped upon her last resting place. They were many and beautiful and showed the high esteem in which she was held.
