DeKalb County ALGENWEB The Fort Payne Journal Fort Payne, Alabama Wednesday, August 7, 1946 Page 1 AGED CITIZEN DEPARTS THIS LIFE AT DAWSON James Marion Andrews, 79, passed away at his home on Rt. 1, Dawson, Friday morning about 10 o'clock following a long illness. He was born in Tennessee but had lived in and near the community in which he passed away the past 50 years. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ennis Downer Andrews; five sons, Lee, Luther, Jack and Henry, of Dawson, and Chester of Gadsden; six daughters, Mrs. Ida Ridgeway, Fort Payne; Mrs. Missouri Mitchell, Dawson; Mrs. Bessie Steed, Centre; Misses Mamie, Allie and Wilma Andrews, Dawson; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, John Andrews, Section; one sister, Mrs. Lula O'Shields, Portersville. Funeral services were held at Lusk Chapel Saturday afternoon with Rev. Earl Townsend officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
