Microfilm Roll #M1988.2243, from the Alabama Dept. of Archives and History (ADAH), Montgomery, AL, contains issues of The Choctaw Herald from the 1860's and 1870's, a weekly newspaper published in Butler, Choctaw Co., AL. I recently purchased the roll from ADAH. The earliest issue appearing on the film shows N. E. THOMAS and Wm. F. O'NEAL as editors.
