The Church

This simple frame structure stands amid the pine trees that are so prominent in Butler County.  We have no exact history on the church, but it is a part of our heritage in the Pigeon Creek Community.

From the appearance of the wooden pews and the bouquet of flowers that graces the altar, it is apparent that this church is still in use.

The Cemetery

Here are the directions and a list of New Prospect Methodist Church in Pigeon Creek:  from McKenzie going north on US 31, take a right onto State 106 east.  Go until you come to Moseley's store - - it will be at CR 84 west.  Then take the left on CR 84 west.  You will go a very little way and then take your first right.  It will be a paved road.  It will turn into a dirt road.  Stay straight on this dirt road about a mile or so.  New Prospect will be on the right.
