William THAMES being in Clinton, Jones County GA. According to his War of 1812 Pension Application, on 22 Dec 1813  William Thames married Rachael Taylor at or near Clinton, Jones Co. GA.  On 21 Nov 1814, he enlisted in Capt. Cyrus White's Co. (Wimberly's Regt., Blackshears Brigade) of the Georgia Militia; enrolled at Fort Hawkins while a resident of Jasper Co.
