RecentIy, I had the pleasure of visiting with the granddaughter of Joshua (1818-1879) and Lucinda Presley (1818-1895) Wiggins. Her name is Cora Wiggins Booker and she is the daughter of Willis Anthony Wiggins, son of Joshua and Lucinda. Joshua passed his Family Bible to his son Willis, and the daughter of Willis gave me the following material, a photo copied from the Bible of Joshua Wiggins. Since so many of us descend directly from Joshua and Lucinda, I am sure that you will also appreciate Cora Wiggins Booker's kindness in permitting me to print the following.
Joshua Wiggins and Lucinda Presley
were married May the 2nd 1839
Lucinda Presley was born the 27 th of November 2 o'clock in the
year of our Lord 1818.
1st Martha Caroline Wiggins the daughter of Joshua Wiggins and Lucinda his wife was born on Friday morning the 10th of September in the year of our Lord 1840.
2nd William Kilby Wiggins was born Thursday three hours after night the 22nd of July in the year of our Lord 1842
3 rd James Crofford Wiggins was born on Thursday morning the 20th February in the year of oyr Lord 1845.
4th Willis Anthony Wiggins was born Monday morning sun up the 1st of November in the year of our Lord 1846.
5th Sarah Ann Matilda Wiggins was born Tuesday morning about sun rise on the 6th of February 1849.
Margaret Isabel Wiggins third daughter of Joshua and Lucinda his wife was born February the 7th A . D. 1851.
Mary Ann Serena Wiggins Daughter of Joshua Wiggins and Lucinda Wiggins his wife was born on the 9th of January A. D. 1853
Evans Elihu Wiggins son of Joshua Wiggins and Lucinda Wiggins his wife was bornd April the 19th 1855 about seven hours P. M.
George Elias Wiggins son of Joshua Wiggins and Lucinda Wiggins his wife was bornd February the 24th 1857 between the hours of three and four o'clock P. M.
Benjamin Joseph Wiggins was bornd about sunrise on Tuesday the 26th of April 1859
Samuel Jonas Wiggins was born on Tuesday the 22nd day of Sept 1863 _______
