DECATUR DAILY, Thursday, July 26, 1934

Mrs. Melllie Yarbrough, 47, passed away Wednesday a short time after being brought to Benevolent Society Hospital from her home at Town Creek, where she had been seriously ill for sometime. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the Town Creek Christian church with Bro. N. F. Harding, of Columbia, Tenn., saying the service. Interment will follow at Town Creek cemetery, Highsmith directing. Active pallbearers will be: Pink Key, Charlie Key, F. S. Knouff, R. B. Preuitt, E. E. Ethridge and John Haddock. Mrs. Yarbrough was a member of the Christian church and beloved by numbers of friends in Lawrence county. The deceased is survived by her husband, T. D. Yarbrough, three sons, Ernest, Emmett and Clifton, of Town Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Malcolmn Streater of Town Creek, and Mrs. Tom Masterson, of Decatur and one granddaughter. Four sisters are among the survivors, Mrs. Charles Bragg of Moulton, Mrs. E. R. Alexander of Moulton, Mrs. J. L. Jetton, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. O. R. Harris, of Memphis. One brother, R. W. Alexander, of Moulton, Mrs. Yarbrough’s death occasioned sorrow in Lawrence county where she was well known for many years.
