Obituary: New Decatur Advertiser, July 6, 1911

South New Decatur News - We are sorry to learn of the death of Mrs Martha Orr who made her home with her son, J. M. Orr, of this place. She was visiting her daughter, Mrs S. E. Wray of Hartselle and was taken very ill there with pneumonia. She was 80 years old, died of Friday, June 23rd, and was interred in Bethel Cemetery, funeral services conducted by Rev J. D. McClanahan.

She was a member of the Baptist church, a true Christian. She leaves two children, Mrs S. E. Wray of Hartselle, and J. M. Orr of this place, the latter of whom she had lived with for many years. She also left several grandchildren and one sister, Mrs Mary Lawrence of Hartselle. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved ones.
