Myrtis P. McClanahan

HARTSELLE - Funeral for Myrtis Powell McClanahan, 71, of 704 Rock St., will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.

Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 9.

Mrs. McClanahan died Tuesday at Huntsville Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was a member of Hartselle Campground Association.

She is survived by her husband, R. H. McClanahan of Hartselle; a daughter, Jane Wilcoxson of Hartselle; two sisters, Gracie Jones of Decatur and Mary Lynch of Huntsville; six brothers, Circuit Judge Newton B. Powell, Miles T. Powell and J. N. Powell, Jr., all of Decatur, Greer Powell of Mobile and Sherman B. Powell and Clark Powell, both of Falkville; and her mother, Delia Powell of Falkville.

Nephews will be pallbearers.
