Final Rites For John Henry May

Final rites for John Henry May, 70,who died at his home on Hartselle Route 4 at 10 a.m. January 26, were held at Bethel at 2 p.m. January 27, Rev. Billie Stephenson officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing. Pallbearers were Jay Breeding, Willard Varnell, Herbert Roan, Bunyan Roan, Erie Chaney and Ben Hawkins.

Surviving Mr. Henry are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gay Danields, Holyoke, Mass.; three sons, Hines May, Columbus, Ga.; Claude May, Franklin, Ga.; Henry Maya, Balfour, N.C.

(According to FamilySearch.org his father was Willis May and mother Nancy Francis.)
