H. C. McCLANAHAN DIES

Harvey C. McClanahan who was in his 56th year, was stricken with acute indigestion Tuesday afternoon. He had taken his ax and gun and was going to cut some wood. He was only a few hundred yards from the house when he was stricken and by firing his gun and hollering, he attracted the attention of his family who went to him. There were no one at home except Mrs McClanahan and the small children.

It was sometime before they got him to the residence. He was conscience up until a short time before his death at 10:00 p.m., Tuesday night.

He leaves a widow, 4 sons and 5 daughters, 4 brothers: Rev. J. D. and W. M McClanahan, of this place, Stewart and Tom McClanahan, of Columbus, Miss., one sister, Mrs. G. A. Genter, of Tenn., besides a great many other relatives and a host of friends. The burial will take place today 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Church one mile north-east of town.

We extend the bereaved ones the condolence of our people.
