Funeral for Carlton J.Mooney 78 of Pinson,Al. was Saturday June 26,at 1 p.m.at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Bennie Waid and Bro. Johnny Alred officating. Burial was in Larence Cove Cemetery. Mr.Mooney died wendesday,June 23,2004 at his residence.He was born, August 16,1925 in Morgan County to John Mooney and Florence Taylor Mooney.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pinson..He was a vetern of World War 2 where he served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Sarah Mooney of Pinson,one son;John Mooney and wife Stacy of Pinson.one brother; Talmadge Mooney of Hartselle,one sister; Earsel Puckett of Eva, and one grandson Brandon Mooney. Note: Carlton recieved 2 Purple Hearts, along with several other medals.
