JOSEPH OTTIS GLASSCOCK

A graveside service for Joseph Ottis Glasscock, 81, of Hartselle, was conducted Tuesday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brady E. McCullough officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Glasscock died Sunday, October 10, at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was a native of Morgan County and a Baptist. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945, was a member of John F. Thompson American Legion Post #52, and had lived in Oakland, Calif., and Gardnersville, Nev., before returning to Hartselle in 1989.

He is survived by one brother, Gordon M. Glasscock of Florence; and two sisters, Rubie Ellen Aycock of Shellman, Ga., and Lilly Mae Holmes of Tanner.

Pallbearers were Mace Ryan Glasscock, III, John Y. Glasscock, David Glasscock, Oscar Aycock, Gregory Holmes, Henry Aycock, Cotton McDaniel, Frank McDaniel, J. P. Cain, Gordon Glasscock and Donald Glasscock.
