JAMES R. CROW PASSES AWAY

Spanish American War Veteran Dies Sunday

James R. Crow, veteran of the Spanish American War and one of the most respected citizens of the Hartselle community died at 4 o'clock Sunday at his home on route 2 out of Hartselle.

He was a member of a widely known family and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Clemons and Mrs. Loraine Sutton of Hartselle, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Crow, four sisters, Mrs. Lee Prayton of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mrs. Mary Mitchell of Decatur Route 4, Mrs. G. C. Perry and Mrs. Annie McCleare of Bessemer and a brother Caleb Crow of Little Rock.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Bethel church by the Rev. J. R. Culver with interment in the family lot. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Priest in charge of funeral arrangements.
