Gilbert 'Gene' Clemons

Graveside Service for Gilbert "Gene" Clemons, 86, will be today, December 30, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery with Bob Cyphers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. There will not be any visitation.

Mr. Clemons died Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born March 27, 1924, in Morgan County to Jessie Clemons and Louise Woods Clemons. He served in the U.S. Army where he served in the Philippines. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ann Clemons and a son, David Eugene Clemons.

Survivors include his Wife, Clara Mae Brown Clemons; one son, James Allen Clemons of Decatur; one daughter, Dinah Lee Clemons of Pottsboro, Texas; one brother,

Charles L. Smith, Yisalanti, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Roy, Robbie, Chris, Cody, Brandon, Madison and Rhonda; five great- grandchildren, Ray, Hailey, Brandon, Christine and Junior.

Pallbearers will be Lee Brown, Brandon Clemons, Christopher Clemons, Roy Zeman, Ray Brown, Robert Zeman.
