RUTH COMPTON

HARTSELLE - Funeral for Ruth Compton, 84, of Sunshine Haven Retirement Home, will be Thursday at 2 pm at Union Church of Christ with Phillip Hines officiating.

Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Miss Compton died Monday at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a member of Union Church of Christ and was a retired lunchroom worker. She worked 26 years at Cotaco School and Brewer High School before retiring in 1976. She was born May 21, 1909, in Morgan County.

She is survived by one brother, Paul Compton of Marbury; and one sister, Marie Fowler of Somerville.
