Graveside service for Herbert Lewis Chunn, II, 55, of Hartselle, will be Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery with the Rev Cecil Berry officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr Chunn, who died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his residence, was born March 21, 1955, in Morgan County to Herbert Lewis Chunn, I, and Minnie Ellen Duncan Chunn. He was a 1973 graduate of A. P. Brewer High School where he was a member of the first football team at Brewer. He was also an avid Alabama fan. Mr Chunn was retired from the U.S. Navy, where he served as Chief Petty Officer of the Trident Nuclear Submarine. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three sons, Joshua David Chunn (April) of Athens, James Lewis Chunn (Nikki) of Fort Campbell, KY and Jeffery A. Chunn (Ashlee) of Hartselle; one daughter, Leslie Jo Chunn Staggs of Athens; one brother, John Darrryl Chunn (Rosena) of Somerville; four sisters, Charlotte Ann Fells (Blase) of Galveston, Texas, Elizabeth "Libby" Kimbrell, June Carol Golden and Elisa Jo Chunn, all of Somerville; and eight grandchildren.
