BODY OF WOMAN FOUND IN CREEK

Hartselle - Mrs Herman F. Bailey, 63, Somerville 2 resident, apparently suffered a heart attack Sunday while walking and feel into a creek north of her home.

According to Morgan County Coroner Lewis C. Brown, who investigated with Morgan County sheriff's office, the opinion of the investigating officers was that Mrs Bailey suffered the heart attack and fell into Town Creek, which flows into Cotaco Creek. Brown stated that no bruises were found on the body and there was no evidence of foul play.

Brown asserted that Mrs Bailey was last seen around her home about 10 a.m. by a daughter, Mrs Julia Hamilton, who then went to church. After the family returned from church, Herman Bailey, husband of the deceased, noticed her absence and a search was made.

Mrs Bailey's body was found floating face down in the creek at approximately 1 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs Bailey are to be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Union Church of Christ, where she was a member.

Jerry Jenkins will conduct the service with interment in Antioch Cemetery, directed by Peck Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Herman F. Bailey; four daughters, Miss Bretha Bailey, Somerville 2; Mrs John W. Hamilton, Somerville 2; Mrs John R. Cofield, Luthersville, Ga.; Miss Oleta Bailey, Birmingham; one son, Arthur, Winterhaven, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs Earl Walker, Auburn, Mrs Carl Walker, Somerville 2; two brothers, J. F.
