GRIFFIN, Arm of Lee			Lee was the son of Dempsey Griffin and Eliza Jane Griffin. I find it strange that he buried his arm in the Cemetery. He was a well to do farmer and businessman. He had gins in Newville and in Headland. It was in Newville he got his arm caught in a piece of machinery and it was cut off. He is buried in the Methodist Cemetery in Headland

Inscribed on her stone: “Murdered by her husband H. C. PRICE Jr. So Hard in the in the bloom of life to have her life stolen by the one who promised to keep and protect through this life. Sleep on precious child and mother. We hope to meet and see you some sweet day.” H. C. Price Jr. and Clayton Bowden tied her to a tree and beat her to death, put her in a car and tried to make it look like an accident for $5 000 insurance money.
