Balkum Baptist Church Cemetery

The Balkum Cemetery was called “Soul Chapel” in the early days. The cemetery is about an eighth of a mile down from Balkum Church. I walked the cemetery on February 21, 2002 and transcribed the listings of these names. The cemetery is in good condition, and there are a few graves with no names or the names were illegible. Many of the people buried there are my relatives, Callins, Hodge, Hodges, Brady, Grace, Johnson, Clark, Martin and Neal’s. The Cemetery is located in the Balkum Community of Tumbleton, Alabama.
