Sam Porter & family

Samuel V. "Sam" PORTER (seated left) was the son of Samuel H. PORTER and Sarah C. [--?--].  He was born Nov. 11, 1872, in Fayette County; died Jan. 14, 1968; buried at Musgrove Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Fayette County.  He first married Mary Ella WEBSTER (seated right), Nov. 10, 1892, at the WEBSTER residence in Fayette County [Bk B:2].  She was born Feb. 6, 1875, in AL; died Feb. 26, 1935; buried at Musgrove Chapel.

It is presumed that the others pictured above are their children — Travis R. PORTER, Eula PORTER and Lucille PORTER (standing between parents).  Travis was born Nov. 11, 1893, in Fayette County; died Dec. 14, 1925, in Fayette County; bur. Musgrove Chapel.  Eula was born Aug. 10, 1895, in Fayette County; died March 1985 in Marion Co., AL; married William (Pervy) CORBETT (1891-1977).  Lucille was born about 1905 and was still living at home in 1920.

Sam PORTER married a second time to Mrs. Florence HODGES (1900-1986).  She had a sister named Mae who married Will OWENS in Fayette.  Florence's first husband, Charlie HODGES (1899-1924), was a brother to Mrs. Lucy (HODGES) RILEY and Mrs. Daisy (HODGES) SMITH.  Florence and Charlie had two sons: John Edwin HODGES and Wayne HODGES.  She and Sam PORTER reportedly did not have any children together.

This photograph was among my grandmother's possessions.  I would like to know how (or if) the PORTERs were related to my MORTON, HAM, STEWART, SMITH or MORRIS families.
