Newtonville is located about 10 miles south of Fayette on State Highway 171 [see map of area here].
This was a one-room school with only one school "marm."
I am related to all of the Bakers, Yerbys and Gibsons.
Most of the people [pictured above] were buried in the Newtonville Cemetery
adjacent to the historic Shepherd Church
(Shepherd Baptist Church No. 4).
