Sarah Francis Elizabeth Stephens Davis, formerly of Rutledge, died May 5, 1925
Funeral services for Mrs. Francis E. Davis were held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the family home in Prichard. Rev. J. G. Mitchell fo the Church of the Seventh Day Adventist, assisted by Rev. C. B. Arendall of the Dauphin Way Baptist Church, and Rev. M.J. Barnes of the Whistler Baptist Church, conducted the services. The burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. The following were pallbearers: O.M. Wiggins, F. Yost, J.W. Phillips, M.J. Moulyet, F.E. Wise, and J.H. Overcast. (from Mobile Register, May 7, 1925)
