7 May 1540	Left Cutafachiqui (city) toward Ilapi.
13 May		Left Ilapi in Cutafachiqui (province) toward Chalaque. Arr. Chalaque 15 May.
17 May		Departed Chalaque.
18 May		Arrived Guaquili (Ranjel p. 280)
21 May		Arrived Xuala "They had the mountains (sierras) before them" -p 281
25 May 		left Xuala; waited a day for 2 soldiers.
Deserted there, in province Xalaque: Rodrígues of Peñafiel; then a little further along a young indian slave from Cuba; a slave of Don Carols, a native of Barbary; and Gomze, a black man of Vasco González. Ranjel p. 

5 Jun, Sat.	Entered Chiaha. "From Xuala all their travels had been through a mountain range, and the horses were tired and thin." Ranjel p. 282 
19 Jun		Indians stopped playing games because DeSoto asked for women.
28 Jun		Departed Chiaha. They passed through "5 or 6 towns" and went to sleep at a forest near a town. 
29 Jun		Crossed a river that flowed strongly.
30 Jun		Crossed a river, then a town, and a river another time and spent the night in the open.
1 July, Thu.	Cacique of Coste came to receive them.		
2 Jul, Fri.	Arrived a Coste, "a town on an island of the river." Ranjel p 283 . "The governor sent two soldiers north to see the privince of Chisca." p. 284. Honey and pearls were found.
9 Jul, Fri.	Left Coste and crossed the other branch of the river. Tali was on the other side. 

11 July, Sun.	Departed the island. Mon 12th crossed a river; Tue 13th crossed another river; Wednesday 14th crossed another river and slept in Tasqui [area under the Tali chief]. "All these past days since they departed from alongside Tali, the cacique of Tali made [the Indians] bring out, from their towns along the road, [food]. 
July 16		Entered Cosa province. Chief was carried by litter. Found plums and sour apples. The Christians took many Indian slaves.
20 Aug		Left Cosa; "There remained behind a Christian who was named Feryada, a Levantine." Ranjel p. 285. They spent night beyond Talimachusi. 
21 Aug		Spent night at Itaba.
30 Aug		Left Itaba 
31 Aug		Arrived a Ulibahali, a good town next to a large river. They were subjects of Cosa. "A gentleman from Salamanca, called Manzano, remained there." "Also a ... black man who was called Joan Vizcaíno deserted Captain Juan Ruís Lobillo there." p. 285. Best grapes. 

2 Sep, Thu.		Left Ulibahali and "spent the night in a pretty town hard by the river."
3 Sep.		Arrived at Piachi, alongside a river. They waited for Lobillo one day.
5 Sep, Sun.	They left Piachi and spend the night in the open.
6 Sep, Mon	they arrived at Tuasi.
13 Sep, Mon.	Left Tuasi. Spent Mon and Tue night in the open.
15 Sep, Wed	Arrived at "an old town with double walls and good towers." Thu. they spent the night in a new town next to the river. 
18 Sep, Sat	Arrived at Talisi and found the cacique and people gone. The town is large and fertile with much corn next to a large river. A messenger came there from Tascaluça

25 Sep		The cacique of Talisi gave them what they asked for and they freed the cacique of Cosa, but not a sister of his.
5 Oct, Tue	Left Talisi and spent the night at Casiste, a pretty town along the river.
6 Oct		Spent night at Caxa, a wreched town on the bank of the river and at the boundaray between Talisi and Tascaluça.
7 Oct, Thu.	Spent the night alongside the river across from Humati.
8 Oct, Fri	Spent night at Uxapita.
9 Oct, Sat	Established camp 1 league before arriving at the town of Tascaluça.

10 Oct, Sun	Entered the town of the tall Indian Tascaluça, a new town called Athahachi.
		Mabila was the town of a principal vassal of Tascaluça's. Ranjel p. 291.
12 Oct, Tue	Left Athahachi.
12 Oct		Arrived at Piachi, on a high bluff of a rocky river. [The bluff may be the rocky thing] "In that town it was found out they had killed Don Teodoro and a black man who came forth from the boats of Pánfilo de Narváes"
16 Oct, Sat	Departed Piachi.
18 Oct, Mon	Arrived at Mabila.

After the battle of Mabila, 102 was the total dead since entering Florida. p. 294
14 Nov		Left Mabila.
18 Nov		Went across bad crossings and swamps and found a town Talicpacana.
21 Nov Sun		Moçulixa, 1/2 league across the river from Talicpacana
24 Nov 	Wed	Arrived Zabusta, on a river. Found a town upstream and took its lord Apafalaya. The river was called Apafalaya.
9 Dec Thu	Left in search of Chicaça.
15 Dec		Arrived at the river of Chicaça having "passed many bad crossings and swamps and rivers and cold weather."
