EDGE, John Miller. He came to the county in 1836 then went back to GA.
Can anyone suggest a reason for having done so? What was going on in the

Searching for information on William Thomas SMITH who married Sally R.
SMITH in Calhoun County on August 29, 1886. They had two children that I
know of: Georgia L. SMITH and Bessie G. SMITH.

Sterling PRICE was born 1769 in VA and married Mary FREEMAN in
Greensville County, VA in 1791. He was in Rutherford County, NC by 1799 when
he purchased property, and he sold that same property in 1807 prior to his
move to south GA. Sterling PRICE was in Pike County, AL by 1830 and in
Benton (later Calhoun County), AL by 1850. Sterling PRICE and his wife died
in Calhoun County after 1850. His children included Sterling Ruffin PRICE,
George Washington PRICE, Benjamin Franklin PRICE, Goolsby PRICE, and perhaps
Bluford PRICE. Descendents of Sterling PRICE migrated to AR, especially
Hempstead County, and also to TX and OK. Any information about this family
would be greatly welcomed.
I am looking for info on D. Clayton ROBINETT b1861 d1931. He was married
to Louise BONDS b1871 d1940.They are buried in the Edgemont Cemetery in

I am searching for information on Wood MORELAND b.1770 and his wife,
Sarah Heath MORELAND. They were located in Benton Co census in 1850. I need
to find out when they died and where they are buried. I believe the died in
Benton County. They had several children but know the names of only two of
them, Bradford MORELAND b.1825 and Rebecca MORELAND b.1801 who married Henry
CHILDERS also found in Benton Co. Ala 1850 census. Any information on this
MORELAND family or the CHILDERS family would be appreciated.
BLAKE, Rufus Independent Green (RIG)is buried at Sulphur Springs
Cemetery along with his wife, Olive Ann BUSH nee BROWN. This was a second
marriage for Olive, who married first, William W. BUSH and in 1855 they had
a son, Oliver Perry BUSH who is also buried at Sulphur Springs. Would like
to have more BLAKE family information and marriage date for Olive and Rufus.

I am searching for any information on Newton RICHE (RICHEY, RICH) b.
1827 in TN. In 1860 census was living in Mount Polk, Calhoun Co. His wife
died before 1860. Newt was a soldier in the 7th Ala. Infantry and died
during the war. His children: William, Albert, Thomas, and James, were
raised by Lucinda GORAY, their aunt. Children also lived with an "Uncle
Jake" in Ark. and with relatives in Miss. along the Yazoo River. Will be
happy to share information on his descendants.
