Mrs. Susan Ann Vestie Ward Submitted by Diane Bryant The Southern Democrat 29 Dec 1955 Mrs. Ward dies in Local Hospital Mrs. Susan Ann Vestie Ward, age 72, of Altoona, passed away December 21, in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McKinney. Survivors include her husband, Joseph H. Ward; three daughter, Mrs. Pinkney Bramblett, Mrs. Milford Rennow, and Mrs. Arthur Leatherwood, all of Altoona; one half brother, William Huff of Gallant; four grandchildren. Last rites were conducted by Rev. W.E. Ellen at Wiggins Brown-Service Chapel in Oneonta, at 11:00 o'clock Friday. Interment was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Howard Blanton, M.D. Heptinstall, Grady Moore, Albert Morgan, Herschel Davenport and Robert Thatcher.
